In 2011, Co-founders Patrick Walker and Robert Rubey realized a need for safe, efficient, and reliable salt water management in the Bakken of North Dakota based on their experience as interest owners in the basin. They founded Goodnight Midstream to provide superior long-term produced water disposal services to oil and gas operators because they understood the impact water handling has on LOE and operational reliability.
By the end of 2012, Goodnight Midstream had three saltwater disposal wells and a two mile produced water pipeline. Today, Goodnight Midstream owns and operates a network of over 450 miles of gathering lines connected to more than 50 saltwater disposal wells across the Williston basin, the Permian basin, and the Eagle Ford shale.
